For NCAA Division I schools you must complete 16 core courses in the following areas.
4 years English
3 years Mathematics (Algebra 1 or higher)
2 years Natural/Physical Science (1 year lab if offered by school)
1 year additional English, Mathematics, or Natural/Physical Science
2 years of Social Science
4 years of additional courses (from any area above, Foreign Language or non-doctrinal religion philosophy)
Division II schools require 14 core courses in the following areas until August 1, 2013
3 years English
2 years Mathematics (Algebra 1 or higher)
2 years Natural/Physical Science (1 year lab if offered by school)
2 years additional English, Mathematics, or Natural/Physical Science
2 years of Social Science
3 years of additional courses (from any area above, Foreign Language or non-doctrinal religion philosophy)
